Who should not get an abobotulinumtoxin A injection

>Do not get an abobotulinumtoxin A injection if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in it. Similarly, do not get an injection if you are allergic to any ingredients in cow's milk or another botulinum product, including onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) and rimabotulinumtoxinB (Myobloc). If you are currently infected at the site of injection, refrain from getting an abobotulinumtoxin A injection until your infection clears up.

Do not get an injection of abobotulinumtoxin A if you need to drive immediately afterwards, as this medication can cause drooping eyelids, muscle weakness, and blurred vision. Alcohol may worsen these side effects. Children younger than 18 years old should not get an injection of abobotulinumtoxin A, as little is known about its safety in children.

Take extreme caution and maintain communication with your doctor during treatment if you have diabetes, bleeding, or breathing problems, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or over the age of 65. Adverse reactions can occur weeks after the injection.
