Who should not use Inderal LA?

Some pre-existing health conditions can prevent your use of Inderal. You should not use Inderal if you are allergic to propranolol or if you have asthma, second- or third-degree heart block or severe heart failure. If you currently have or have had any of the following conditions, you should not use Inderal without first telling your doctor about these health conditions. They include: anaphylactic shock due to allergy shots, diabetes, depression, smoke, myasthenia gravis, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, sick sinus syndrome, sinus bradycardia, lung disorder (chronic bronchitis, emphysema, severe chronic obstructed lung disease, bronchospasm), kidney or liver disorder, blood circulation failure (due to serious heart condition) and overactive thyroid gland. You should not use Inderal if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without first talking to your doctor about the risks these medications pose to a fetus or nursing baby. Do not take Inderal if you are using thioridazine.
