What are the side effects of Lamictal?

Side effects of Lamictal include: loss of coordination, double vision, blurred vision, crossed eyes, difficulty speaking or concentrating, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea, heartburn, stomach pain, joint pain, back pain, constipation, headaches, weight loss, runny nose, insomnia, nausea, coughing, dry mouth, nervousness, irritability and nervousness. Women may also experience painful or missed menstrual periods and irritation, swelling or itching of the vagina. If any of these side effects do not go away or are serious, consult with your doctor.

Some side effects are always serious and require immediate treatment. They include: having seizures more often or longer lasting seizures; chest pain; swelling of hands, ankles, lower legs or feet; depression; skin rash; fever; headaches; chest pain; chills; body aches; muscle pain; loss of appetite; dark urine; jaundice; clay-colored stools; pale skin; and bruising easily.
