Does carbamazepine have any side effects?

Side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, depressed mood, anxiety, weakness, headaches, lazy eye, dry mouth, itching, skin rash, uncoordinated movement, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and pain. Some people have thoughts of suicide. Others may have serious skin reactions. These are more common in people of Asian descent. Carbamazepine can make it dangerous to drive or to operate machinery.
