What is the dosage for tiagabine?

There is a wide range of dosages your doctor might prescribe when you start taking tiagabine (Gabitril), depending on what other medications you take and other factors.

For adults, the dosage is generally 4 to 56 milligrams (mg) total per day, divided into equal doses and taken two to four times daily. Ask your doctor how much, if any, tiagabine can be taken by children.
