What are the side effects of Intuniv?

Intuniv could cause a variety of side effects. Call your child's doctor right away if your child experiences any of these potentially serious side effects:
  • slow or irregular heartbeat
  • low blood pressure
  • fainting
  • severe dizziness
  • drowsiness or sleepiness
  • weakness
  • fatigue
Call 911 for emergency medical help if your child has symptoms of an allergic reaction to Intuniv, including tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, hives or swelling of the lips, tongue or face.

Other, more common potential side effects may be bothersome but are less likely to be serious. They include:
  • headaches
  • stomach pain
  • decreased appetite
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • constipation
  • dizziness
  • dry mouth
  • irritability
Talk to your child's doctor if any of these side effects are severe or won't go away.
