What are the side effects of Lamictal, trazodone and Cymbalta?

Lamictal, Trazodone and Cymbalta can cause drowsiness, changes in mood and behavior, and weight gain. Be sure to report any of these symptoms to your doctor, especially if they are severe or concerning. There is a potential major drug interaction between Lamictal, Trazodone and Cymbalta. These drugs taken together may cause a rare but serious condition called serotonin syndrome.  Symptoms of the serotonin syndrome include mental status changes such as irritability, confusion, hallucinations, and coma. In addition you may experience a fast heart rate, hyperthermia (overheating), sweating, shivering, stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.  If you experience any of the above symptoms you need to contact your doctor immediately and seek medical care immediately.
