How is tiagabine taken?

Tiagabine (Gabitril) comes in tablet form and is usually taken up to four times daily, preferably with food. Your doctor is likely to start you on a fairly low dosage, especially if you are taking this drug in combination with other anticonvulsants. Do not increase or decrease the dosage without talking to your doctor. Suddenly stopping this medicine can cause seizures.
