What complications are associated with miscarriage?

Although it is not very likely, the tissues related to the pregnancy could become infected. This complication is considered a septic miscarriage. If an infection has occurred, you might have a fever and experience chills. You may also have a racing heart beat and possibly low blood pressure. If you suspect a septic miscarriage, seek medical help as soon as possible.
Another rare complication is the result of surgery to remove tissues from the pregnancy. During a suction dilation and curettage, the uterine wall or cervical tissues could be harmed by the instruments used in the surgery.
