What is the best way to take zinc?

Zinc is best absorbed naturally through your food and diet; however, sometimes it is necessary to take a supplement. A zinc supplement is usually taken one hour before or two to three hours after meals on an empty stomach. However, if zinc upsets your stomach you should take it with a full glass of water or with food. You should take this medication at roughly the same times every day to make sure that you keep balanced levels in your body. Zinc can be taken in different dosage amounts depending on your need and in nasal, topical, intravenous or tablet form.
