Is there any interaction between calcium and iron?

Calcium in antacid form can increase pH levels which can cause iron not to be absorbed as well. It is best to separate when you take the iron and calcium as much as you can. Talk with your doctor about the possible interaction and make sure your ferritin levels continue to be monitored.
