What is the recommended daily intake of copper for teens and adults?

Teenagers and adults need around 900 micrograms of copper each day to maintain good health. Copper is found in a wide variety of foods. As a result, most of us are able to consume enough copper by eating a healthy diet: good sources include: whole grains, beans, nuts, dried fruits, liver, oysters and leafy green vegetables. If you're concerned about your copper intake, talk to your doctor about supplements.
