What is the Feldenkrais Method?

Feldenkrais focuses on improving flexibility, coordination, and range of motion using a hands-on form of tactile, kinesthetic communication. Known for its ability to improve posture and flexibility and alleviate muscular tension and pain, this bodywork is a method of moving, sitting, standing that enables your body to work with gravity instead of against it.

The therapist gently guides your limbs through small parts of motions with the intent that you’ll learn to feel the difference between your usual patterns and the new, effortless ones. By helping you to change and expand the way you hold your body and your daily movements, you can gradually reduce the aches and pains experienced from imbalance.
