Who should take Glumetza (metformin)?

Glumetza (metformin) may be used to treat adults with Type 2 diabetes. When used along with diet and exercise, Glumetza can help control blood sugar levels. Glumetza may also be used along with insulin and another type of diabetes medication called sulfonylurea. Glumetza is recommended for adults over 18 years old.
