A healthy way of life can be achieved by eating a diet high in fiber, whole grains, and lean meats and lower in saturated fat, salt, and processed food. Nonsmokers also have a lower risk. Include physical activities on a daily basis to maintain a healthy body weight. Make regular appointments with your doctor to have your cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and waist measurements checked.
