What are the possible complications of androgen insensitivity syndrome?

Androgen insensitivity syndrome may cause certain physical and psychological complications. Some women with AIS have undescended testes in their abdomens, and that tissue may become cancerous if the testes aren't surgically removed. Also, because women with AIS don't have female reproductive organs, infertility is a significant complication. Other psychological complications, especially issues of gender identity, may occur in people affected by AIS.
