What is the rate of incidence of androgen insensitivity syndrome?

It's estimated that about 1 in every 20,400 genetic males (babies with XY chromosomes) are born with some form of androgen insensitivity syndrome. Complete AIS occurs in about two to five out of every 100,000 genetic males. Partial AIS encompasses a wide spectrum of disorders, but in general, it's thought to be less common than complete AIS.
