Should I shave my face everyday if I don’t need to?

Dr. Mehmet Oz, MD
Cardiology (Cardiovascular Disease)
Whether or not to shave your face daily is a personal decision. If you are comfortable with it, you don't necessarily need to shave your facial hair every day. If you are someone who experiences razor burn or razor bumps, shaving less often may help to reduce irritation. This is particularly true if you have curly beard hair, which can cause irritation and acne like bumps as the hair becomes ingrown. Talk to your dermatologist for more information.
