It's inevitable that, as we age, we lose some skin elasticity. Over the years our skin makes less collagen, and our elastin -- another protein, which helps skin spring back into position -- develops more "give." One way men can increase skin elasticity is by avoiding smoking, which speeds the breakdown of the collagen that keeps skin elastic. To keep your skin healthy, it's also a smart idea to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 every day. If your skin feels dry, use a moisturizer after bathing to trap moisture in your skin. Talk to a dermatologist for more information.
