How effective are bazedoxifene and conjugated estrogens?

In one study, women who had 7 or more moderate or severe hot flashes a day had about 6 fewer hot flashes a day while taking bazedoxifene and conjugated estrogens. Other studies have shown improvements in lower spine and hip bone density after 1 or 2 years of treatment, but not as much as with an estrogen and progestin hormone therapy.
