How do medications treat stage 0 melanoma?

Medications are not generally used as a primary treatment for stage 0 melanoma. Instead, surgical removal of the mole or skin growth is usually the first line of treatment. Medications may be used in chemotherapy for later stages of the cancer, but usually, removing the growth is enough to successfully treat stage 0 melanoma since it hasn't spread.
