What should I know about Suboxone before taking it?

You should give your doctor a detailed history of past diseases and conditions, including allergies. Your doctor should know if you have suffered or are suffering from severe mental illness, hallucinations, or alcoholism. Also be sure to tell your doctor if you've ever suffered a major head or brain injury, breathing problems (including from spinal curvature), lung diseases, problems with any major organs (particularly the gallbladder, liver, or kidneys), or any glandular problems (particularly the adrenals, thyroid, or prostate), or difficulty urinating. Also tell your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant or breastfeed.
