What are the possible benefits of Judo?

Judo is a form of martial arts that utilizes grappling and throws in combination with joint locks and holds to create an advantage over an opponent and ultimately submission. From a fitness perspective Judo creates tremendous demand on your core and enhances flexibility as well as overall strength. Judo also develops balance and dynamic strength, and benefits cardiovascular fitness. Judo, depending on the instructor, can be very strenuous and can cause injuries to participants. You must fully appreciate the risk and the reward and be okay with both before using Judo as a fitness enhancer.
