Will the hospital go over the bill when I am discharged?

Typically, the hospital bill is not ready when you are discharged. You can make arrangements to review your bill with a hospital billing representative after discharge. It may be helpful to request the bill ahead of time so you can determine your questions. Sometimes things are billed incorrectly. Request written answers when you do not understand what you are told. Some employers have benefit coordinators who will help you understand your bill.
