Does chronic bacterial prostatitis have any complications?

Chronic bacterial prostatitis usually lingers for a very long time in your body without becoming significantly worse. Over the course of your condition, you may feel constantly uncomfortable, or symptoms may come and go, or you may not experience any symptoms at all. But complications can still occur. If the prostate grows to be too large, it can cause damage to your kidneys, and an untreated chronic infection can lead to infertility.
