What are the symptoms of lung cancer in the bronchi?

The symptoms of lung cancer depend on many things, including where the tumor is located.

If the cancer is located in one of the major airways (bronchi), it can irritate the lining. This can cause symptoms such as:
  • chronic cough
  • bleeding when coughing
If the tumor grows larger, it may gradually block the airway so air can't pass in or out when you breathe. This may cause repeated lung infections or pneumonia.
