Why are adults with ADHD disorganized?

Adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have trouble with basic organizational skills because of ADHD symptoms that include a lack of concentration and hyperactivity. These symptoms reduce the organizational skills of people with ADHD because they are less able to assess needs, plan a strategy, categorize, and remove unnecessary items.
