Are there alternative treatments for neonatal sepsis?

Antibiotics are the primary treatment for neonatal sepsis and probably a necessary component of treatment. If your newborn has sepsis, it means that their whole immune system is struggling to respond to a systemic bacterial infection. This condition can be fatal if the bacteria are not killed off. Neonatal sepsis needs to be treated in a hospital.
