Are ingrown nails serious?

Ingrown nails do not have to be serious. If treated promptly and correctly, ingrown nails are easy to take care of and most likely will not return. However, this seemingly minor issue can have serious complications. If it is not addressed, infection may lead to a bone infection. People with diabetes and other circulation issues may also have more serious complications from ingrown nails.
