Does tofacitinib interact with any other medications?

Donna Hill Howes, RN
Family Practitioner

Live vaccines should not be given while taking tofacitinib.

If you are taking abatacept, anakinra, conivaptan, a strong CYP3A4 inducer, dabrafenib, deferiprone, fusidic acid, idelalisib, an immunosuppressant, natalizumab, pimecrolimus, rituximab, tacrolimus, tocilizumab, or a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitor, tofacitinib can lead to side effects and should be avoided.

If you are taking clozapine or denosumab, tofacitinib may not be a good option for you.
