What lifestyle changes should I make if I have granulomatosis with polyangiitis?

If you have granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), formerly known as Wegener's granulomatosis, you will have to make lifestyle accommodations for your treatment. Your condition may be treated with drugs that suppress your immune system, in which case you will want to be very careful to not get sick. Many people with GPA also benefit from seeing a counselor or therapist. About half of people with GPA experience a relapse. Learn the signs of possible relapse, so you can treat the condition early.
