Should I see a doctor about my high blood pressure symptoms?

High blood pressure doesn't usually cause any symptoms, which means you should have your blood pressure checked regularly. Typically, it isn't necessary to make a doctor's appointment just to have your blood pressure checked but it should be a part of any regular check ups you do have. It's a good idea to get a physical at least once a year, if not more, and if you do start to experience symptoms of severe high blood pressure like vomiting, nausea and headaches don't hesitate to contact your doctor. These could be the result of another condition that might be causing your high blood pressure. To make an accurate diagnosis your doctor will take several readings of your blood pressure and run some tests to try and determine the cause or your high blood pressure. It may take several appointments for your doctor to accurately diagnose your high blood pressure.
