What other treatments may be needed with a hemorrhagic stroke?

A hemorrhagic stroke usually occurs when a blood vessel or aneurysm in the brain bursts. Surgery may be an option to control bleeding and to prevent another hemorrhage from occurring. Doctors will also closely monitor a person's blood pressure to make sure it does not get too low or too high. In some cases, analgesics like opioids can help to minimize headache pain.
