Try marinating it in one tablespoon of low sodium tamari or soy sauce, one tablespoon water, a one inch piece of peeled, grated fresh ginger, three cloves of minced garlic, and one tablespoon minced fresh or dried cayenne pepper. Then sauté it with your favorite veggies and serve over a serving of brown rice. Simple, low-calorie, and scrumptious.

Another great recipe is to sauté tofu with steamed vegetables and season with low sodium soy sauce for a great stir fry recipe. Tempeh which is fermented soy is a delicious plant based protein to add to a vegetable stir fry. Tofu can be added to your favorite lasagna recipe in place of meat as tofu picks up the flavors of the Italian seasonings and has a chewy texture so you won’t miss the meat in the recipe.
