What is a healthy recipe for a bean dip?

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 ounces) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed, reserve 1/8 cup of liquid
  • 1/8 of a medium-sized red onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/8 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons DOLE® Portobello Mushroom Powder
Directions
  • Place all ingredients in food processor with 2 tablespoons of reserved liquid from the beans.
  • Blend, with a steel blade, all ingredients until coarsely pureed. Taste for seasoning.
  • Serve with raw vegetables for appetizer or in whole wheat pita bread for a vegetarian sandwich.
