What is the healthiest way to eat?

A whole-foods approach is the healthiest approach to eating. This approach means eating food in its most natural state. For instance, raw veggies are best for you, followed by lightly steamed veggies or sauteed. Fresh potatoes with the skin are loaded with nutrients and vitamins. Potato chips, on the other hand, will clog your arteries.

Whole grains, like oatmeal, are an excellent food choice. But the sugary instant oatmeal packets lack many of the healthful properties of unprocessed oatmeal.

If you avoid processed and packaged foods as much as possible, you've got a great start on healthy eating.
