How can we develop healthy eating habits in children?

Children learn more from what we DO than what we SAY. The best way to teach healthy eating habits in our children is to be a good example. The sooner we start adapting our own healthy choices, our children will follow. Start by taking a good look in your refrigerator and pantry -- cleaning out the junk food and unhealthy items. Take your kids to the grocery store to help you shop, involving them in making the decisions of healthy eating habits.
As we all know children are a creature of habit and love to mimic people. As the saying goes "Lead by Example". Teach your kids how to eat healthy by eating healthy yourselfs. Teaching your kids how to eat healthy by eating the right amounts of fruits, vegtables, lean meats and dairy are very important. So if your snacking around the house and making bad food choices your children will pick up on this and want to make it a habit of their own thinking it is ok. So lead your children in the right path and help them make the right choices now so late on they don't have to worry about years of bad habits.
