How will subsidies for exchanges be calculated under the ACA?

According the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, subsidies for the exchange will be available to individuals with household incomes between 100 and 400 percent of the Federal poverty level. There will be some additional criteria reviewed in the application. 

If you receive a subsidy, it must be reported the following year on taxes. The IRS will review the person’s income for the past year to make sure they were eligible to receive the subsidy.
