Researchers do not know what causes neuroblast cells to mutate during pregnancy, so it is also difficult to know how to prevent neuroblastoma. In some cases, neuroblastoma can be identified while the child is still in the womb which allows for early action. No matter the case, the earlier the diagnosis and treatment, the better your chances for treating this cancer.
