What are hair disorders?

Hair disorders involve conditions of either hair loss or excessive hair growth. Both men and women can be afflicted with these conditions. Excessive hair growth can be found anywhere on the body with some disorders growing hair on women in places where men usually exhibit hair growth. Hair loss on the top of the head is a disorder that presents differently in men than it does in women.
