Are there side effects to the management treatments of hypertrichosis?

There are some side effects to certain treatments of hypertrichosis. Bleaching can cause irritation to the skin as well as other life threatening reactions. Waxing causes discomfort. Electrolysis is very painful, while laser treatments are less painful but can cause redness of the skin. Eflornithine can cause local irritation.
