To manage pili torti, take care of your hair in a gentle manner. Do not use hair dye or any other harsh chemicals. Gentle shampoo, such as baby shampoo, can be used in lieu of traditional cleansers. Do not blow dry, comb, or brush the hair roughly. Use a soft pillowcase made of a gentle material such as satin. Wearing a hat or wig will protect your scalp from sunburn.
