How do medications treat hypertrichosis?

Medications can treat the underlying cause of hypertrichosis, but there are no prescription medications that can treat the actual hypertrichosis. Some medications can adversely affect you and cause the hypertrichosis to occur. Discontinuation of these drugs would be the best course of action.
