At what age are women most likely to get breast cysts?

Most often, breast cysts occur in women in their 30s, 40s, and early 50s. They are most common in women near menopause. However teenagers and women past menopause can have cysts. Usually breast cysts go away after menopause unless you take female hormones. If you are on female hormones and have breast cysts that bother you, you should discuss this further with your doctor.
