What are the types of gestational trophoblastic tumors?

There are four types of gestational trophoblastic tumors. From most to least frequent, they are hydatidiform mole, chorioadenoma destruens (also known as invasive mole), choriocarcinoma, and placental site trophoblastic tumor. Sometimes, chorioadenoma and choriocarcinoma are classified together. Hydatidiform moles can be further classified as partial or complete.
