Extragonadal germ cell tumors can negatively affect your quality of life, preventing you from engaging in some work and leisure activities. Symptoms of an extragonadal germ cell tumor can include breathing problems and chest pain, which can make exertion of any kind difficult. Treatments for these tumors, especially chemotherapy, can have side effects, such as fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and hair loss, that present challenges to a full and active social calendar.
