Who should not receive Renacidin irrigation?

Renacidin is a Category C drug, which means the effect it may have on an unborn baby when administered to a pregnant woman is not known. Women should tell their doctors if they are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Although there are no known drug interactions with Renacidin, it is not recommended to combine it with other medications that contain magnesium, since it may contribute to hypermagnesemia (having too much magnesium in your blood).
