Side effects of Ditropan XL may diminish over time, and include: upset stomach, mild constipation, diarrhea, sleep problems, dry mouth or eyes, blurry vision, headache, dizziness, and runny nose. If you have any of the following more severe effects, stop taking the drug and tell your doctor immediately: not being able to urinate or urinating less than normal; a burning sensation or pain when urinating; constipation or extreme pain in the stomach; constant thirst along with dry and hot skin. Get emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction to Ditropan XL, including difficulty breathing, rash or hives, and swelling of the tongue, lips, face, or throat.
