What are the side effects of Gelnique?

Severe side effects of Gelnique include: allergic reaction symptoms, such as swelling of the mouth, lips, face and tongue; hives; and rash. Call 911 for difficulty breathing or swelling of the mouth, lips, throat or tongue. You may develop pain and redness at the application site, an abnormal heart rate, pain or burning while urinating or a fever. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention.
 
Less serious side effects include: blurred vision, dry mouth, runny nose, sore throat, sneezing, headaches, slightly irritated skin at the location where the gel is applied, drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue and abdominal discomfort caused by nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting and stomach cramps.
