What foods or other drugs affect Sanctura XR?

Certain medications may have adverse reactions with Sanctura XR (trospium). These medications include: atropine, glycopyrrolate, hyoscyamine, mepenzolate, propantheline, potassium tablets or capsules, pramlintide, antimuscarinic medications (such as dicyclomine, oxybutynin, scopolamine or tolterodine), anti-Parkinson medications (like benztropine or trihexyphenidyl) and medications removed by the kidneys (such as metformin, morphine, procainamide, tenofovir or vancomycin).
Drugs that induce sleepiness may, when combined with Sanctura XR, cause you to become extremely drowsy. These drugs include: cold medicines, antihistamines, sleeping pills, seizure or anxiety medications and muscle relaxants.

Supplements and vitamins may also interact with Sanctura XR. Before taking Sanctura XR, tell your doctor about all of the prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins and herbal supplements you are taking.
